Hey Everyone,
So thought i would start a blog and see how it goes. Clearly its going to be super random, but hopefully interesting nonetheless. So this weekend I went shopping for the house. I am trying to change it up HGTV style and switch up some colors and accent walls and turn my so called living room into a sitting room. BTW i found the most fabulous chandilier at Graham's Lighting on Macon Road. I will post a picture when i go back to pick it up. Also bought my first right hand ring! its gorgeous, young but yet very grown! found it 40% off at Mednikow on Perkins. So back to my house. What does everyone think about an accent wall being a honey gold color and the upstairs den being leaf green? my bedroom will have the wall behind the bed a martha stewart teal. I also looked at a front load washer and dryer. Dying to have one, but anyone have an opinion? So far i am leaning towards the GE. Its at Lowe's for about $550 or so. I am also thinking on the tall gold accent wall to do various size photographs of family. Any thoughts. Well i need to get my butt back to work before I get in trouble.

I think a marigold colored accent wall will be fab. Think about adding some texture to the wall. Ralph Lauren has some great colors for leather textured walls. http://www.diynetwork.com/topics/faux-painting/index.html
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the Behr shades of the neutrals. http://www.behr.com/Behr/home#channel=EXPLORE;view=14;vgnextoid=6bd8ea6621ca5110VgnVCM1000008119fea9RCRD
Not a big Lowe's fan but Home Depot has a pretty wealthy selection of Behr colors to choose from. Your living room is nice and spacious. What about adding a funky neutral area rug? I love restoration hardware and z galleries wall to floor deco. http://www.zgallerie.com/c-33-area-rugs.aspx
Love discussing this!
i totally wish we had a z gallerie, i might look there when i get to atlant Friday. Yea i went to home depot and got some samples of some Behr colors. What you think about plantation shutters? I am getting an estimate for those too.
ReplyDeleteLove them! What stain are you considering? Do you have any elliptical windows? I wouldn't put them in the elliptical part though. I think they look awkward. Arches look better in them. Another plus is that they are safer for children than the standard blinds.
ReplyDeletewhat the heck are elliptical windows and btw i heard you were moving! and girl you know i dont care about my house being safe for kids. Dont have any and wont be for a long time!
